Reflection For 2021

My reflection of 2021 was getting to spend time with my friends which I include is my family. I really enjoyed being able to get away from the ps4 and get to make memories with everyone. Sports is another reflection that I enjoyed, getting to make new friends in sporting events was really fun, getting to enjoy the fresh air and the sun was a pretty good feeling. Fiafia was my favourite reflection of this year because you got to show how passionate you were about your culture. I mean who doesn’t want to dance up on and show your pride that you carry. My other reflection of this year was year 8 camp. Getting to spend time with just the year 8 was fun. You were able to have more time with everyone and you got to make new friends, and if you already have friends you can have more friends. Last but not least are my teachers. If it wasn't for our teachers we wouldn't be all here at school. We wouldn't be friends, we wouldn't have anyone to teach us. Laughing and smiles was always a thing at Pt England, but it was the one with the teachers that was really special because you knew that it was the last one before you shift to college.

So today we had 3 people that came to our school.They travel around New Zealand to different schools and basically talk about how our body changes. They call it puberty. Starting off with a bit of laughter we got into some specific details. They were explaining to us about all of these things that half of us didn't even know what they were talking about. Here are some little things we learnt. Our voice starts to lower over the ages of 13 and 14, we start to grow a lot of hair on our body. All these little things are what makes you grow and become an adult.

Live Painting

With a minute on the clock Kobe dribbles down the court. He feels the pressure rising. He hustles around looking for an open spot. The shot clock was ticking and minutes felt like seconds. Players were marking and fans were watching. Kobe tried some moves but it didn't work. He spread the ball around his teammates. His teammate pushed his way down to the hoop, and suddenly Kobe's marker ran to double team. Kobe called for the ball. With the ball in Kobe's hand now he took the shot. As the ball travelled towards the hoop the buzzer went off and the ball went in. Fans were jumping and players were running.

Good morning everyone, so yesterday I was selected to go to the Ellerslie Gardens. You might think it’s a garden but it's a place where retired elderly go.

 We arrived there probably at 10:30 and all elderly were sitting down waiting for us. We got up with all courage and mana and performed five songs. The 5 songs performed were kawaiata, E iho, Whakarongo mai ra, He honore and toia mai ra, I think i might be wrong.

After all the songs were performed we got to talk to the elderly people. We mixed around and I was talking to a man who said he was once a wallaby. After talking to him I went to every single elderly and said good morning sir/miss and thank you for taking your time to watch us perform in front of you.

Writting Challenge

 

1. When nsw won the cup they went to dennys to celebrate the victory.

2. James tedesco had so much food he had to go to the bathroom.

3. He made up his mind and decided to go, as soon as he walked through the doors the NSW team knew they were gonna get kicked out.

4. James Tedesco lets out an ecstatic bomb in the toilet, the team looks at the janitor and says good luck cleaning up that mess and the NSW team walks out to the bus waiting for james.

5. Jame ended up finishing fast  because he knew that this was the last and final time coming to dennys ever.

6. James counts before he runs out, he runs out faster than he's ever ran, the janitor is already waiting for James as soon as James goes past out comes the ruler the janitor says.

So today Mr Moran set up a little challenge for us to enter. He made us

write a 6 sentence narrative. Not just any narrative, a narrative

  that includes three images but you have to make up a

narrative includeing all those 3 images combined

together witch was the hard part of all. Plus

it was only 6 sentences nothing more

then 6. If its past 6 your out.

To start it off last night  was the first test of origin, even though we lost die hard queenslanders right here  and always will be. The results weren't the best but I mean there's game 2 and 3 on the way. So the things we did wrong on the night, was never really using the ball on the field, like whenever we had the ball we just took it up. We could’ve worked the outside because there were many opportunities, we only played smart when it was tackle 4 and 5. I think our defence was letting us down a lot, see if we rushed up as a line we could’ve closed down the gaps and slowed their ball game. I am not the coach but i am just explaining what we could’ve and should’ve done on the night. If we learn from our mistakes we can make a comeback. Thanks for listening everyone.

Introduction: What is a leader? A person who can show their people that they can be a role model. A person who knows that he will make a difference around people. Showing how he is capable of being a leader.

Paragraph 1: Introduce who you are (things like your culture, family, age)

Hi my name is Halasika and I am 12 years of age. I am from a family of 8. I have four siblings and one aunty who still lives with us along with my parents.  I have my father and  two brothers that work to help us provide things we need.  I am  of Togan descent. I come from a village called longotem,afar,kolonga,pea and Nitoua. 

Paragraph 2: What are some of your interests or favourite things ?

 I am very interested in sports because I am an active person. Another thing I do like is playing playstation in my free time. Food is also a big part of my liking. I love watching rugby and the teams I support the most are QLD,Blues and University which I play for. I mainly like watching league because its more intense than union. I support both leagues even if its one I do not play I still watch.

Paragraph 3: What do you like and dislike at school? What are your goals for 2021?

One thing I hate about school is I am not very good at maths. Reason being is because I found it hard communicating with teachers in school when I started my first years. I will continue to hate maths but my goal is to try and overcome the fear of trying to answer a maths question. I want to make better decision with my learning in maths.

A good teacher when they help and communicate with us students to get through all subjects well. They help us to get better in our learning so when we get into college we know all these things that we are supposed to know. Mrs Ilaoa can help by supporting me during  my maths progress that's in need of help.
